LULING, Texas (KXAN) - Patients in Caldwell County will no longer have to travel out of the county to get three-dimensional mammograms. Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis announced it is now the first and only hospital in the county to provide the imaging test that combines several breast X-rays to create a 3D picture. The new machine is replacing 2D imagining the hospital previously offered. It's worth noting, according to the hospital, it's also the only permanent spot in the county offering any mammograms. Concerned homeowners in one Southern California community have taken matters into their own hands when it comes to fighting wildfires. Residents of Bell Canyon, which was heavily impacted by the 2018 Woolsey Fire, felt that they could have done more to assist thinly stretched fire crews with preventing houses from burning down. “We watched fire creep up to a house, catch it on fire and burn the whole thing down with nobody there to do anything,” said Larry Little, who works with the Bell Canyon Volunteer Wildland Fire Department. “Those of us who had sort of fought it with garden hoses and the limited resources we had looked around and went ‘What else can we do?’”  Gen Z far more likely to fall for online scams than seniors, Google expert says To answer that question, they founded the Bell Canyon Volunteer Wildland Fire Department, which is not a substitute for 911; their primary mission is to protect residents and property while supporting local fire agencies. The department is a...

Review: Five Nights at Freddy’s

Published Mon, 24 Feb 2025 11:05:54 GMT

Director Emma Tammi has done the unexpected. She made a tasty meal out of pre-packaged pizza dough when most folks were expecting Chuck E. Cheese-level quality. Five Nights at Freddy’s is a movie better than anyone could expect from a point-and-click video game dependent on jumpscares, plushy animal robots, and a music box version of the “Toreador Song” from Carmen. But, by George, they did it. They made a family-friendly horror film out of Freddy’s.Based on the video game franchise with a simple premise and a surprisingly layered backstory, the goal of Five Nights at Freddy’s is straightforward enough: stay alive. As a nightshift security guard, you have the unpleasant job of guarding Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, a former family fun-time restaurant that has gone by the wayside thanks to a few unpleasant events caused by wayward animatronics. However, your task is not as easy as it sounds. To keep from decaying, the animatronics roam freely at night, and ...
